Our team in St. John's, NL is seeking a Project Engineering Lead to join the team! This role provides leadership and oversight to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of technical, project control, and client-facing activities while promoting a high-performance team culture aligned with company values, HSSE standards, and delivery excellence.
What will you be doing?
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day‑to‑day execution of EPCM call‑offs, including receiving, reviewing, prioritizing and assigning CTR requests.
- Manage Ad-Hoc work requests from the client according to approved processes ensuring urgent requests maintain the required safety and quality standards.
- Ensure all Project Engineers apply PEM and industry best practices, maintaining consistent quality and technical rigor across communications and deliverables.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and oversight of project plans, schedules, budgets, cost performance, and documentation for all assigned scopes.
- Provide strategic leadership to Project Engineers in change management, procurement, contract administration, cost and productivity tracking, scheduling, and risk management.
- Champion and embed strong HSSE and quality practices across all scopes, modelling safe behaviors and driving compliance with corporate, client, and regulatory expectations.
- Oversee quality and performance, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to protect cost, schedule, and delivery outcomes.
- Ensure consistent client engagement across all tasks -translating client needs into clear project direction, interface coordination, and timely issue resolution.
- Identify and develop new project opportunities and support business growth within the current frame agreement.
- Take ownership of customer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement and resolving issues proactively.

We think you should have:
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with PEGNL, in good standing
- 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering and/or construction environments, including leadership of complex, multi-discipline projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead single discipline team, prioritize critical issues, and adapt project execution to changing client needs.
- Proven leadership in project delivery, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and decision-making capabilities to drive outcomes across multiple workstreams.
- In-depth understanding of Management of Change (MOC) processes and the ability to lead interfaces between key internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and lead diverse groups.
- High level of computer literacy, including engineering, design, and visualization tools used in project execution.
