Job Summary
As a Reservoir Engineer Trainee, you will support the delivery of reservoir engineering solutions and contribute to the development of innovative workflows and technologies. This entry-level opportunity combines engineering fundamentals with exposure to advanced reservoir engineering practices in one of the industry's most dynamic environments.

During your first months, you will:

• Contribute to ongoing reservoir engineering projects and customer engagements.
• Learn to manage data preparation, reservoir simulation, and reporting within digital workflows.
• Participate in structured training on SLB's reservoir engineering software while receiving one-on-one guidance from experienced engineers.
• Gain hands-on exposure through active project delivery, customer interactions, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will gradually develop expertise in reservoir simulation, engineering analysis, and solution delivery frameworks, building a foundation to become an independent technical contributor supporting our European operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the delivery and adoption of reservoir engineering projects, including simulation setup, data validation, and risk assessment, ensuring quality and timely execution.
• Prepare and manage technical documentation, reports, and performance dashboards for internal and customer use, while addressing functional queries and escalating enhancement requests as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align engineering objectives, optimize workflows, and identify opportunities for software or process improvements.
• Engage with customers through review meetings, progress reporting, and solution delivery, while promoting the adoption of reservoir engineering tools and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including quality, safety, and environmental standards, while participating in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geology, Geo-Energy or other related course.
• Academic or internship experience in reservoir engineering or simulation environments.
• Proficient in English, with clear and professional communication skills.
• Right to work in Romania (EU citizenship or valid work authorization).
