Role Overview:

Finance partner for AR operations:
  • Own financial planning, analysis, reporting and forecasting of Accounts Receivables, collections, and past dues for the APAC region. Develop tools, establish operating mechanisms to ensure accurate and timely forecasting, reporting
  • Work with customer teams and collectors to proactively drive collection and manage past due levels; develop action plans to mitigate risks and identify opportunities
  • Communicate current results, estimates and variance drivers to regional and headquarter leadership

Risk Management:
  • Monitor, assess and manage enterprise & portfolio risks impacting the GE Aerospace's APAC business including financial, credit, and execution risks. Develop risk frameworks, preventive and reactive measures to control and mitigate risk exposures.
  • Structure payment plans, credit terms, securities, and economic trades according to macro, customer, and contract risk

Deal underwriting:
  • Develop deal structures/products to win competitive campaigns and create customer solutions, to address unique customer needs while meeting business objectives of cash flow and margins at appropriate risk levels.
  • Support deal underwriting and financial modelling process for new engines and services offerings. This includes partnering with the technical, product line, legal, operations and sales teams to validate assumptions and scenarios, identifying risk/rewards, leading deal approval discussions, ensuring these are captured in the contract terms & conditions, and strategizing on commercial negotiations.

Projects:
  • Plan, execute and support global risk and commercial finance initiatives/projects.
  • Support cross functional projects on LEAN process improvement, commercial knowledge management.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. With at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Requires significant levels of experience in a one or more of the areas (Finance, Risk Management, Engineering) where roles involved risk assessments and required frequent use of financial and/or quantitative analytical tools, skills, and processes.
  • Business partnership experience which involved providing cross functional financial leadership and strategic insight to help meet operational goals.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Attention to details
  • Knowledge of long-term commercial contracts or proposals (Aviation preferred)
  • Understanding of technical and financial modelling processes for contracts (Aviation preferred)
  • Commercial acumen: Strong understanding of the Aviation business and how to drive sustainable growth for GE and our customers
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative with demonstrated success in a project leadership role
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
