We are hiring Wells Superintendent - Interventions (WSUP) in Well Intervention Operations in bp team!

You will lead a team of Completion and Intervention Well Site Leaders (WSL) to ensure delivery of the high quality well planning activities, programs and offshore execution in compliance with relevant HSSE/CoW, Statutory, Operating Management System (OMS), Regional and bp requirements for Well Operations.

The successful candidate will work with Base Management, Reservoir Development, Production Operations and Wells and report directly to Well Operations Manager.

Key accountabilities:

Safety & Operational Excellence

• Drive 100% compliance with company HSE policies and regulatory requirements
• Proactively identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to reduce non-productive time
• Ensure precise execution of Standard Operating Procedures and procedures across all activities
• Manage emergency response and incident reporting

Field Operations Leadership

• Manage all intervention operations, including MAST, cleanouts (coil), snubbing operations, and rigless work (wireline and pumping)
• Collaborate with engineers and field teams to minimize production deferment and optimize well performance
• Oversee WSLs, crews, contractors, and equipment across your assigned operations area

Team Leadership & Development

• Mentor and develop WSLs and crew supervisors
• Build and maintain high-performing contractor relationships
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operating discipline
• Maintain adequate staffing levels and contingency strength

Communication & Coordination

• Serve as the key interface between field operations, engineering, and management
• Provide timely updates on operational progress and challenges
• Translate technical guidance into actionable field instructions
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and landowners

In this role, we have the following requirements

Education:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• Well Control Certification Combined Surface/Subsea Supervisor (IADC, IWCF or equivalent)

Experience Requirements:

• 12 years experience in well interventions and/or MAST/workover operations
• Proven experience with snubbing units, wireline, slickline operations, rigless interventions, decompletions, coil tubing,
• 5 years supervisory experience leading field teams
• Proven track record in operations, production optimization, and cost management

Leadership Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and drive results
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work in multidiscipline environment and communicate at all levels
