What's the role

As an Associate Functional Analyst for SAP SD and Order‑to‑Cash (OTC), you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high‑quality system solutions by participating in testing activities, understanding functional requirements, and collaborating closely with business and technical teams. You will contribute to the design and execution of test strategies, develop and maintain test scripts, track progress across testing cycles, and help ensure new capabilities and enhancements are implemented effectively. In this role, you'll engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements, support defect resolution, assist with go‑live readiness, and create documentation that enables smooth operations. You will also have opportunities to explore automation approaches, manage batch job activities, and work across multiple workstreams - building both functional and analytical skills while helping drive positive business outcomes.

What you'll be doing

  • Execute testing activities for change requests, enhancements, and defect fixes, including the creation, maintenance, and optimization of test scripts.
  • Leverage knowledge artifacts collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure high‑quality solution delivery.
  • Interpret functional specifications with a strong technical design perspective to support accurate solution development.
  • Define the end‑to‑end test strategy and establish the automation approach for projects and releases.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, identifying tasks, dependencies, risks, and required participants, while securing stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner closely with Business Analysts and Application Delivery Leads to ensure new capabilities and business requirements are fully understood and properly implemented.
  • Monitor and report progress against testing schedules, ensuring transparency and timely delivery.
  • Write detailed test scripts and perform Unit and Integration Testing, while also supporting Regression Testing activities.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve defects throughout the testing lifecycle, including providing post-go‑live support.
  • Create runbooks and actively participate in peer reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop proofs of concept (POCs) for automation initiatives using relevant testing tools.
  • Manage batch jobs using scheduling and processing tools to ensure successful end‑to‑end execution.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, delivering high‑quality outcomes within agreed timelines and maximizing customer satisfaction.


What you bring

  • 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and the Order‑to‑Cash (OTC) process.
  • Proven experience in SAP SD testing, configuration, and supporting end‑to‑end functional validation.
  • Strong background in SAP testing, test automation, and release management across complex environments.
  • Working knowledge of at least one test case management tool (e.g., ALM, Worksoft, HPQC).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, support teams, and onshore/offshore partners across all testing activities - including test script creation, clarifications, and data preparation.
  • Experience reviewing and guiding team members on test case design and script development.
  • Strong skills in analyzing formal test results, identifying defects or configuration issues, and reporting them accurately using tools like HPQC.
  • Previous involvement in IT/application or data‑driven projects, with exposure to cross‑functional teams and integrated systems.
  • A strong team player, comfortable operating within virtual, distributed teams.
  • A fast learner who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • SAP SD/OTC certifications are a plus.
