Work Group Lead - Structural Steel Modular Expert

KBR is looking for a Work Group Lead - Structural Steel Modular Expert to join our downtown Houston based team!

Functional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the design of complex steel Structure modules.
• Supervises and leads a group of engineers.
• Responsible for executing according to project specifications, quality standards, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Primary liaison between Client, KBR, and Modular steel fabricator
• Devises new approaches to problems encountered.
• Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include various complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of traditional materials, and complex coordination requirements.
• Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 12+ years of structural experience with an EPC company, with average experience ranging from 15-20 years.
• Proven experience in the design and transportation of Steel Structure Modules, 3,000 + Ton Process Modules.
• Execution of large-scale LNG projects with modularization strategies.
• Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional.
• Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
