TotalEnergies EP Malaysia is looking for a skilled Geologist to support reservoir development, geological modeling, and appraisal activities across our operated and non - operated assets. You will play a central role in delivering high - quality subsurface evaluations that support long - term planning, development decisions, and reserves governance.
Activities
Your Impact
As part of the Reservoir Development & Growth team of Subsurface department, you will:
- Conduct geological analysis and synthesis using 2G, reservoir, and production data to define modeling approaches and recommend technical solutions to discipline leads.
- Build geological models for operated and non - operated assets, delivering reliable Hydrocarbon - in - Place evaluations to support FDP, budget exercises, long - term planning, and key development milestones (QRs, MRs, RevG&R, Comgate).
- Contribute to FDP, RMP, RSP for greenfield developments; support updates of FDPs, post - drill analyses, and full - field reviews.
- Define data acquisition programs and contribute to well prognoses.
- Participate in appraisal and development well activities, providing timely geological insights across sedimentology, structural geology, petrophysics, pressure, GWD, core analysis, and other relevant specialties.
- Uphold high HSE standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
What We Are Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Education : Bachelor's or preferably Master's degree in Petroleum Geology.
- Experience : Minimum 5 years in petroleum geology for field development; at least 1 year of petrophysical/log interpretation is mandatory. Experience in exploration, appraisal, or development wells is preferred.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in geological software such as TECHLOG/GEOLOG, PETREL, SISMAGE; knowledge of geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, and production technology.
- Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem - solving abilities, self - driven mindset, cross - disciplinary teamwork, and effective communication.
