Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is a world-leading provider of aircraft engines, systems, and components, partnering with major aerospace companies across commercial, business jet, and military segments. Every day, our technologies help define the future of flight - safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.

As part of our Global Sourcing organization, you will directly influence Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, driving performance in a complex global supply base.

We are looking for a Contract Performance Manager to join our high-impact contracts team. In this role, you will be a key driver of GE Aerospace profitability and performance, owning the end-to-end performance of several large, complex supplier contracts.

You will shape and lead our supplier relationships, ensuring that safety, quality, on-time delivery, total cost of ownership, and commercial performance are achieved - and improved - over the life of the contract. This role combines strategic thinking, hands-on execution, leadership of cross-functional teams, and high-level negotiation.

If you enjoy working in a global, matrixed environment, influencing senior stakeholders, and turning complex deals into real business outcomes, this role offers a significant platform for impact and career growth.

Job Description

This is a highly visible role that combines strategic thinking, hands-on execution, cross-functional leadership, and high-level negotiation. If you enjoy working in a global, matrixed environment, influencing senior stakeholders, and turning complex contracts into tangible business results, this role offers strong scope for impact and career growth.

What you will do
  • Own overall performance of several large, complex supplier contracts.
  • Maximize contract productivity through cost reduction, cost avoidance, income generation, and working capital improvement.
  • Track and analyze contract performance versus expectations (e.g. bid vs did), identify gaps and opportunities, and lead corrective and improvement actions.
  • Use commercial levers such as cost recovery, terminations, productivity clauses, premiums, and other mechanisms to maximize value.
  • Act as chief negotiator on significant, complex deals.
  • Lead negotiations across sourcing, legal, finance, compliance, engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, product lines, customers, and suppliers.
  • Lead internal business approvals, supply awards, and contract authoring.
  • Support and manage pre- and post-contractual activities, including terms and conditions and claims management.
  • Be accountable for supplier performance across safety, compliance, quality, delivery, commercial results, readiness, WIP health, commitments, payables, and tooling.
  • Drive structured problem solving and action plans when suppliers underperform.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to manage key supplier relationships and run regular supplier business reviews with an appropriate cadence and level of seniority.
  • Act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, and services.
  • Use industry and market insight to inform commercial decisions and strategies.
  • Find and lead creative commercial solutions within a complex contractual landscape, using all available "currencies" (price, volume, risk, terms, etc.) to generate mutual value.
  • Critically assess the quality of information, challenge conflicting data, and leverage multiple internal and external resources to make strong, data-driven decisions.

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Extensive experience in one or more of the following:
    • Commercial Operations
    • Supply Chain or Sourcing/Procurement
    • Consulting
    • Sales and Business Development
    • Contract Management

Desired characteristics
  • Demonstrated commercial leadership and experience negotiating large, complex deals.
  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and closing contracts, including both business and legal terms.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at different levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with proven ability to build robust internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
  • Proven experience leading programs and projects through to delivery.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute programs, with solid project management capability.
  • Experience creating and leveraging innovative commercial solutions and coaching others to do the same.
  • Comfortable working across large, matrixed organizations and delivering against key business objectives.
  • Leadership style that reflects humility, openness to diverse perspectives, inclusion, and transparency to drive the best outcomes for GE Aerospace and our partners.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 50%, depending on business needs.
