Our Company is recruiting for a dynamic individual to accept the role of a Field Specialist - Directional Drilling (DD) to join our Product and Service Delivery team that operates out of our San Fernando, Trinidad office. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable directional drilling services to our customers while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in directional drilling across diverse environments and demonstrate strong technical and leadership capabilities.

- Lead and execute directional drilling jobs, ensuring optimal well trajectory and drilling performance.
- Act as a technical expert for drilling tools, ensuring they meet client objectives and design specifications.
- Maintain proactive risk management and participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
- Communicate effectively with client representatives, drilling contractors, and internal support teams.
- Develop customer relationships to promote company products and services.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of job deliverables and WCD requirements.
- Supervise and train Wellsite Operators (WSO) to maintain consistent service quality.
- Participate in HSE and quality initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements.
Special Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years in directional drilling, with experience working internationally and proven expertise in deepwater, offshore, and complex well profiles.
- Proven experience in geo-steering within reservoirs under extremely tight tolerances, where active wells are in close proximity.
- Must have the ability to adjust well trajectories to optimize reservoir contact for maximum oil recovery while avoiding collision with producing wells, ensuring both safety and performance in high-risk environments.
- Ability to lead high-risk, high-complexity projects with a focus on safety and performance.
- Strong knowledge of drilling technologies, including Rotary Steerable Systems (RSS), PowerDrive, Orbit, and conventional directional tools.
- Experience with ERD, UBD, HPHT, MPD, casing jetting, geo-steering, and horizontal wells.
- FOET/BOSIET certification and full compliance with internal training standards.
- Diploma in Petroleum Engineering or related field preferred.
- Supervisory and trainer experience with Wellsite Operators (WSO) to maintain consistent service quality.
