What's the role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a critical leader within the Trading & Supply (T&S) delivery domain, responsible for the end-to-end management of complex digital and technology initiatives supporting the Crude & Products Trading business. You will drive delivery excellence by applying the Shell Project Delivery Framework across both Waterfall and Agile environments, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and with clear business value. Working closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and technical experts, you will translate trading and supply objectives into actionable delivery plans, manage risks and dependencies, and lead cross-functional teams to successful outcomes. Your experience in large-scale digital delivery, combined with a strong understanding of Shell's T&S landscape, will help enable innovative solutions that enhance trading performance, operational efficiency, and Shell's broader Energy Transition ambitions.

What you'll be doing

• Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of the project lifecycle.
• Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.
• Create and validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and expenditures.
• Proactively analyze risks and variances against plan to assess trends threatening agreed scope, time, cost, and quality commitments. Identify signs that a project may be at risk and escalate quickly and appropriately.
• Ensure appropriate stakeholder change and communication plans and engagements are developed and executed.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define success metrics and criteria and to identify, measure, and track planned vs. achieved benefits.
• Apply Shell project management and IT control/assurance methodologies, standards and processes including architecture, information risk management and transition to support.
• Create a motivated high-performing team through team building, information sharing, workload management, and appropriate recognition. Develop the skills of team members through coaching and delegation.
• Establish and maintain appropriate and effective governance structures and procedures to obtain resources, drive decisions, resolve issues, and deliver project objectives.

What you bring

• 13-17 years of IT experience, including 5+ years in IT Project Management
• Strong domain knowledge across Crude & Products Trading, Low Carbon Fuels (LCF), or Trading & Supply
• Degree in IT or related discipline
• Demonstrated experience delivering in fast‑paced Trading environments, where priorities shift quickly and delivery agility is critical
• Solid understanding of the end‑to‑end trading lifecycle and T&S's role within Shell
• Hands‑on delivery experience across Agile frameworks
• Project management certifications (e.g. PMP, Agile/Scrum) strongly preferred
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence and coach senior business and IDT leaders
• A learner mindset with a track record of leading high‑performing teams
• Willingness to work on‑site at the Shell Centre campus at least 3 days per week, supporting collaboration across global trading hubs
