We are looking, on behalf of one of our clients in the energy sector, a Business Developer Industry EPC (M/F), based in Angers, for a 15-month assignment, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position directly with the client thereafter.

An industrial company specializing in energy and environmental solutions (energy recovery, waste-to-energy, heat recovery, EPC projects) is seeking a Business Developer Industry EPC (M/F) to structure and develop its business with industrial clients and local authorities.

This position combines technical expertise, business development, and financial structuring on complex, high value-added projects.

Business Developer Industry EPC (M/F) : What will your missions and responsibilities be?

Business Development - Key Accounts

• Identify, qualify, and develop a portfolio of strategic industrial clients
• Build and manage a project pipeline (energy recovery, heat recovery, EPC projects)
• Prospect and negotiate with senior-level decision-makers
• Manage complex contracts (EPC, performance-based contracts, Balance of Plant solutions)

Technical & Commercial Approach

• Analyze tenders and client requirements
• Design tailor-made offers integrating:
  • Technical solutions (Waste-to-Energy, industrial heat pumps, heat recovery, ORC)
  • Economic modeling (ROI, energy savings)
  • Appropriate contractual structures
• Coordinate internal teams (engineering, project management, procurement, finance)
• Present solutions to client decision-making committees

Financial Dimension & Partnerships

• Build business plans and financial scenarios
• Prepare applications for public funding and incentive schemes
• Develop technological and financial partnerships
• Manage project profitability and margins

Client Relationship & Contract Follow-up

• Monitor contract execution and ensure client satisfaction
• Manage contractual risks and ensure client retention
• Identify upselling opportunities and new project developments

Representation & Market Intelligence

• Represent the company with clients and partners
• Participate in industry trade shows and events
• Conduct market and competitive intelligence

What profile and skills are required for this Business Developer Industry EPC (M/F) position?

Education & Experience

• Engineering degree (energy, thermal engineering, industrial engineering) or equivalent
• 7 to 12 years' experience in industrial B2B business development
• Proven experience with complex technical projects (energy, EPC, infrastructure)
• Strong background in key account management
• Professional working proficiency in English is required

• Solid understanding of industrial energy solutions
• Ability to work closely with technical and financial teams
• Financial modeling skills (ROI, profitability, public subsidies)
