In which organization will you work as a Cosntruction Manager (M/F) ?

We are looking for one of our clients in the pharmaceutical sector for an Cosntruction Manager (M/F) , based in Evreux for a 24-month assignment.

Cosntruction Manager (M/F) : What will your missions and responsibilities be?

1. Skills:

Demonstrate leadership by coordinating and carrying out on-site activities in close collaboration with the project team, and in particular with the Project Manager and the Engineering Manager.

2. Detailed Engineering - Site Preparation Activities:

• Contribute to the development of the construction schedule (Level B) for civil works, civil installations, and process installations.
• Prepare site HSE activities, including the Site Safety Plan.
• Contribute to planning and setting up the site team organization, including the assessment of subcontractor staffing levels.
• Carry out risk assessments related to construction works, site logistics, and Facility Management activities.

3. Procurement Support:

• Prepare technical calls for bids for temporary site installations.
• Participate in technical alignment meetings with suppliers for temporary site installations.

4. Construction:

• Overall coordination of on-site activities.
• Plan and lead construction meetings and prepare minutes of meeting (MOM).
• Coordinate permitting activities and liaise with authorities.
• Coordinate contractor mobilization on site and site setup, including water, sewage, power supply, IT, and telephony.
• Manage the construction of temporary site offices.
• Coordinate work between the various subcontractors and the client.
• Contribute to maintaining the construction schedule through progress monitoring and necessary updates (e.g. in case of scope changes).
• Develop recovery plans in case of construction delays.
• Be responsible for enforcing HSE rules and client rules on site.
• As part of the Project Management Group, participate in relevant meetings with the client, including at corporate level.
• Provide key performance indicators (schedule and cost) to the Project Manager for control and reporting purposes.
• Secure the implementation of scope changes.
• Ensure that all temporary installations and buildings are dismantled and removed from site in accordance with the design.

5. Commissioning:

• Coordinate commissioning activities.
• Monitor commissioning activities and contribute to progress reporting.

6. Handover:

• Responsible for defect remediation (punch list management).
• Initiate and lead final project inspections for client acceptance and handover.

What profile and skills are required for this Cosntruction Manager (M/F) position?

• Minimum 10 to 15 years of international / global experience in construction management.
• Excellent knowledge of all construction disciplines to facilitate cooperation between Superintendents and contractors, particularly for cleanrooms and process / clean utilities piping.
• Proven ability to manage schedule, budget, and quality.
• Experience in a GMP environment (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Fluency in French and English.
