Which company will you be joining as a "Mooring Engineer(M/F)"?

We are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a "Mooring Engineer (M/F)" for a 12-month renewable contract in Luanda (Angola). This mission is on a residential basis, with no option for rotation.

"Mooring Engineer (M/F)" What will your missions and responsibilities be?

• Promote and lead a strong safety culture within the project and in all related activities
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ rules and local regulations in all engineering and contractual activities
• Take responsibility for all activities related to the FPSO mooring system life extension
• Lead the engineering, refurbishment, procurement, and installation of topside mooring handling equipment and spare mooring lines
• Coordinate technical interface meetings and maintain close liaison with planners, superintendents, discipline specialists, contractors, and Classification Society
• Manage project execution interfaces to ensure schedules and deliverables are met
• Implement FPSO mooring line failure detection systems and define maintenance and inspection plans for topside mooring equipment
• Participate in technical reviews (Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments) and ensure follow-up of recommendations
• Report regularly to the Hull Buoy and Mooring Manager and support communication with Project Management
• Ensure effective contract management, resolution of technical queries, and proper close-out according to project procedures

What profile and skills are required for this "Mooring Engineer (M/F)" role?

• Qualification: Engineer or equivalent
• Languages: English mandatory; Portuguese is a plus
• Professional Experience: 15-20 years in the Oil & Gas industry, offshore projects/fields approximately 10 years in mooring engineering
• Technical Competencies: HSEQ, offshore operations, mooring engineering, project coordination, oil and gas operations
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, dynamism, organized, proactive problem-solving, ability to convince and coordinate across teams, "out-of-the-box" thinking
• Certifications: BOSIET or equivalent offshore safety certification
