We are looking for a Data Manager (M/F) for one of our clients in the biotechnology sector, based in Évry, for a 6- to 9-month assignment.
Assignment context
Within a major player in the life sciences, operating in an international, dynamic, and regulated environment, the Data Manager is involved in structuring projects related to the centralization, reliability, and governance of scientific data.
In a context of strong heterogeneity of existing data, he/she plays a key role in selecting data tools, their deployment, and then the creation and structuring of databases in order to guarantee controlled, secure access that complies with quality and regulatory requirements.

Main Mission
Identify, implement, and administer data management solutions suited to scientific activities; design a centralized database based on existing data; and ensure governance of access and usage, in close collaboration with business teams.

Data Manager (M/F) : What will your missions and responsibilities be?
Main Mission
Identify, implement, and administer data management solutions suited to scientific activities; design a centralized database based on existing data; and ensure governance of access and usage, in close collaboration with business teams.
Main activities
- Analyze the needs of scientific teams and map existing data
- Identify, assess, and contribute to the selection of appropriate data management tools
- Implement and configure the selected solutions
- Design and create databases aligned with biological use cases
- Recover, structure, and improve the reliability of existing data
- Define and administer access rights and data governance rules
- Ensure data quality, traceability, and compliance
- Act as an interface between scientific and technical teams
- Contribute to the improvement of data management practices
What profile and skills are required for this Data Manager (M/F) position?
Education & Experience
- Higher education in a scientific or technical field (biology, bioinformatics, data, IT, engineering)
- Proven experience in Data Management in a Life Sciences environment (minimum 2 years)
- Experience in a regulated environment is a plus
- Professional English optional
Technical skills
- Design and administration of scientific databases
- Implementation of data tools and databases
- Strong command of data modeling
- Management and migration of heterogeneous data
- Understanding of scientific data (preferred)

- Rigor and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, non-technical stakeholders
