In which organization will you work as a Construction Contracts Manager?

We are recruiting for one of our clients, a major player in engineering and industrial project delivery, a Construction Contracts Manager, based in Lyon.

Construction Contracts Manager: What will your responsibilities be?

Within an EPCm project environment, you will be part of the project team and operate under the responsibility of the Project Construction Contracts Manager.
Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Launching calls for tenders for construction contracts
  • Managing commercial, contractual, and technical clarifications
  • Leading negotiations with selected contractors
  • Preparing commercial and technical comparison tables
  • Issuing and following up construction purchase orders
  • Leading kick-off meetings with contractors
  • Ensuring technical and commercial consistency of assigned packages
  • Delivering documentation in accordance with internal and client standards
  • Managing several projects simultaneously when required

What profile and skills are required for this Construction Contracts Manager position?

Education

  • Technical background required
  • Engineering degree is a strong asset

Experience

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in construction contracts procurement
  • Proven experience in engineering / EPC / EPCm environments
  • Ability to work autonomously as a Lead (no dedicated discipline manager on the project)

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction, procurement, and engineering
  • Solid understanding of construction contract management
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Familiar with online procurement platforms
  • Fluent in French and English
