In which structure will you work as an Automation Engineer?

We are looking for an Automation Engineer for one of our clients in the industrial sector, based in Brittany.

Automation Engineer: What will be your missions and responsibilities?
  • Participate in design reviews and project kick-offs.
  • Conduct functional analysis of installations and develop PLC programs, human-machine interfaces, and automation networks.
  • Commission machines in the workshop and on client sites, perform adjustments, testing, and acceptance.
  • Present technical specifications to clients and provide training on usage.
  • Provide and update the technical documentation required for machine files.
  • Provide client technical support: diagnostics, remote or on-site troubleshooting (automation, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, software).
  • Manage corrective and preventive maintenance interventions.
  • Update the failure and CSI ticket database, track interventions, and record machine updates.
  • Develop tools and best practices to improve service efficiency (checklists, operating procedures, reference guides).
  • Repair and restore electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.
  • Implement equipment modifications according to evolving standards.
  • Provide remote technical support to users.

What profile and skills are required for this Automation Engineer position?
  • Degree Bac+2/3 to Bac+5 in automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven skills in PLC programming and commissioning of automated installations.
  • Autonomy, service orientation, and availability for travel in France and internationally.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Solid knowledge in industrial electricity, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex malfunctions.
