Function Description

As a Senior Lead Engineer, you play a key role in executing our engineering projects and overseeing the engineering process from concept to delivery. You guide and coach teams of project engineers, FEM engineers, and going forward junior lead engineers in training. You act as the technical authority within projects. You contribute to innovative offshore solutions and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities

• Leading the engineering design process from concept through delivery
• Coordinating and directing project teams consisting of project engineers, FEM engineers, and future lead engineers in training
• Reviewing and approving technical documentation and drawings
• Ensuring designs meet client requirements, technical standards, and delivery deadlines
• Collaborating with the operational manager and design verification manager to align activities with the project plan and schedule
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Maintaining direct customer contact, leading client meetings and technical discussions, and acting as the main point of contact during and after the project

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• At least 6 years of engineering experience within the offshore or mechanical engineering sectors
• Proven experience in leading engineering projects and teams
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of FEM analysis and offshore engineering principles
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills combined with leadership qualities
• Proactive attitude and willingness to share knowledge and experience
