We are currently seeking a Senior Global Mobility Tax Specialist, reporting directly to Total Rewards Manager to join our Total Rewards team based in Rome, Italy.

About the opportunity we offer:

You will work within the Total Rewards function, supporting International Mobility operations, contributing to the effective management of tax, social security and compliance matters related to international assignments, permanent transfers and cross‑border workforce mobility.

You will provide analytical support, ensure correct application of global mobility tax principles, coordinate with external tax providers, and support assignees and HR stakeholders throughout the assignment lifecycle.

Your activities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Managing tax and social security compliance for international assignees (inbound/outbound)
  • Coordinating with external tax advisors for annual tax returns, hypothetical tax, payroll instructions and equalization calculations
  • Supporting the preparation and review of assignment cost projections and budget estimates
  • Ensuring correct payroll reporting for international mobility cases (shadow payroll, tax adjustments, year‑end reconciliations)
  • Providing guidance to HR and managers on tax implications of assignment types, permanent transfers, business trips, commuters
  • Supporting policy application and ensuring tax consistency across packages
  • Preparing reports, dashboards and analyses for management (mobility population, cost tracking, compliance status)
  • Monitoring international tax legislation changes, treaties, totalization agreements and case‑law relevant to global mobility
  • Assisting the internal audit process and supporting documentation for tax authorities when required
  • Supporting cost estimates for new projects and tender phases, including mobility cost projections, evaluation of contract types (local, expatriate, commuter) and analysis of assignment‑related financial impacts

About you:

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Law, Economics, Taxation or similar discipline
  • Preferred: specialization/master in Tax Law or International Taxation

Languages:
  • Fluent in Italian and English

Main Skills and Requirements:
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an international, multicultural environment
  • Proven experience in tax and social security matters within Global Mobility, with a strong interest in continuous learning
  • Precision, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with employees, managers and external tax providers

IT Skills:
  • Strong MS Office capabilities (especially Excel)
