JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to strengthen the Marine Operations group at APL Norway AS, which currently consists of 14 skilled engineers and offshore specialists. Our team plays a key role in supporting APL's major projects by providing installation expertise during engineering phases, supervising offshore activities, and executing a wide range of service assignments and problem-solving tasks for our clients.

The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical designer who will contribute to both engineering and operational aspects of our work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design support to APL's service projects, with a focus on installation methodology and practical execution.
• Prepare and update 3D models, drawings, and documentation using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Participate in engineering reviews and propose practical, installation-focused solutions.
• Support offshore operations when required, including supervision and follow-up during installation or service work.
• Contribute to troubleshooting, improvement initiatives, and various service projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is desirable
• Solid experience as a mechanical designer.
• Proficient in Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of installation and operational aspects of mechanical systems is an advantage.
• Willingness to participate in occasional offshore work.
• Structured, solution-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication skills in English and Norwegian.
