Job Summary

As an Enterprise Technology Engineer at BP PLC, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable technology solutions across our enterprise. You will leverage your technical expertise and collaborative spirit to drive innovation, optimize operations, and ensure the security and resilience of our critical systems.

Job Responsibilities

* Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise-level technology solutions, leveraging principles of Solution Architecture and System Design.
* Manage the configuration and release of software and infrastructure components, utilizing Configuration Management and Release practices, and Continuous Deployment and Release methodologies.
* Develop and maintain scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and operational tasks.
* Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of Communication and facilitating technical discussions and decision-making.
* Contribute to the creation of a high-performing team by sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and promoting best practices.
* Ensure the security of enterprise systems and data, adhering to Information Security best practices and policies.
* Manage source code repositories and version control systems effectively.
* Participate in Digital Project Management activities, ensuring timely and successful delivery of technology initiatives.
* Support and enhance service operations and resilience, identifying and resolving incidents to minimize disruption.
* Apply Agility core practices to adapt to changing requirements and deliver value iteratively.
* Design and optimize relational databases using Relational Data Modelling techniques.

Job Qualifications

* Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level technology solutions.
* Strong understanding and practical application of Agility core practices.
* Excellent Collaboration and Communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
* Extensive experience with Configuration Management and Release tools and practices.
* Demonstrated expertise in Continuous Deployment and Release methodologies.
* Ability to contribute to and foster a high-performing team environment.
* Experience in Digital Project Management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
* Proficiency in Facilitation techniques for workshops, meetings, and technical discussions.
* In-depth knowledge of Information Security principles and best practices.
* Strong understanding of Relational Data Modelling and database design.
* Advanced Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
* Solid experience in Service Operations and Resilience, including incident management and problem resolution.
* Proven ability in Solution Architecture and System Design.
* Expertise in Source Control and Code Management systems (e.g., Git).

Travel Requirement
Up to 10% travel should be expected with this role
