Role Synopsis

At bp, digital transformation is at the heart of our evolution, and we're looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to drive this forward. As part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, you'll work on cutting-edge technologies, automation, and cloud services, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure software delivery. From optimizing CI/CD pipelines to cloud infrastructure management, your expertise will make a direct impact on how we operate at scale.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for faster, high-quality software delivery.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and security teams to implement seamless DevOps processes.
• Automate cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) to improve cost-efficiency, security, and scalability.
• Implement monitoring tools to detect and resolve system issues quickly, minimizing downtime.
• Lead initiatives to optimize operational processes and improve user experience through innovation.
• Coach and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and helping others grow.

Requirements

• Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate across teams to find solutions.
• A proactive attitude, continuously learning and evolving your skills to meet new challenges.

Desirable Skills

• Broad development experience (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack).
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps, or Kubernetes Administrator are a plus.
