Job Description:

The Costing Team Lead oversees the team responsible for product costing and inventory accounting for Brazil and Mexico. This role ensures accuracy in financial reporting, effective internal controls, adherence to accounting policies, and continuous improvement of processes while promoting service excellence and strong partner collaboration

Job Summary

Costing & Inventory Accounting

• Handle and supervise product cost calculations, validations, and system updates.
• Review, analyze, and update Product Purchase Variances (PPV).
• Prepare statutory inventory reports and ensure data integrity.
• Oversee inventory transactions and reconciliations in the general ledger.
• Perform Cardex analysis and other inventory-related reports for supported markets.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities in line with reporting standards.

Controls, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure the integrity and proper application of accounting policies.
• Drive identification, investigation, and remediation of root‑cause errors.
• Contribute to designing and strengthening internal control measures for inventory accounting.
• Support process simplification, operational excellence, and compliance through KPIs and data‑driven actions.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for newly adopted or improved processes.

Leadership & Partner Management

• Safeguard proper application of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for errors and oversee corrective actions.
• Support the design and enhancement of control measures for inventory processes.
• Promote process simplification, operational excellence, and compliance through targets and data-driven insights.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for new or improved processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of costing senior analysts.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.

• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional and cross-regional team members

Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

-Professional-level English proficiency

-Intermediate to advanced Portuguese proficienc

Professional Background

• Strong background in product costing and inventory management, ideally within large or multinational organizations.
• Experience leading teams and working in a Global Business Services / Shared Services environment is highly valued.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with SAP Hana.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, particularly during month-end close cycles.

Work Location & Shift Pattern

Santa Fe, CDMX

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m

Hybrid model: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite
