Job Description:

  • Develop, manage and lead SRM for China & North Asian suppliers.
  • Drive value delivery for the PU from both the local and the global suppliers.
  • Support business contingency process by building appropriate risk mitigations.
  • Maintain relationships with strategy teams and key business functions e.g. GMU, GLT, PUs and GSC
  • Define and monitor performance measures for the automotive market sector

    Key Accountabilities
  • Contribute to the development of the additives category strategy, plans and priorities including both global and locally emerging Chinese based suppliers.
  • Working with sector buyers e.g. PCMO, CVO etc ensure strong alignment between global strategy and local market dynamics and requirements.
  • Support global sector buyers RFQs and deployment of resulting solutions locally. Where authority has been delegated to buy locally initiate, run and award RFQs as required.
  • Ensure contracts are in place and up to date to provide maximum protection to Castrol business.
  • Act as the local procurement subject matter expert for Automotive Additives category. In doing so ensure regular updates from both global and local suppliers to technology and insights for the business
  • Continually work to source new opportunities to ensure we remain competitive. These should include local efficiencies and sourcing opportunities but also insights and ideas for the global sector leads.
  • Provide support for local and global stakeholder engagement underpinned by systematic supplier performance management. Support supplier relationship management via top-2-top preparations and effective communication with vendors.
  • Ensure full compliance with all categories, regulatory and BP corporate social, environmental and financial risk and HSSE
  • Work collaboratively with the wider GSC and business to ensure no Additive stock outs at the plants occur. Join and support business continuity teams as required e.g. tariffs, supply, quality issues etc.
