As an Asset Accounting Associate in our Global Business Services (GBS) team, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the financial backbone of our operations. We Want You

For a Junior position:

• Process and maintain fixed asset data with precision and attention to detail
• Execute monthly depreciation runs and resolve basic errors
• Support month-end close activities and reconciliations
• Coordinate physical asset counts and process adjustments
• Assist with routine asset accounting transactions and master data updates
• Prepare documentation for audits and respond to information requests
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices in asset accounting

For a senior position:

• Serve as a technical expert on IFRS 16, IAS 16, and IAS 36, providing authoritative guidance to the GBS team and retained organization
• Coordinate and monitor month-end close activities for the asset accounting team
• Review and approve complex journal entries and fixed asset transactions
• Lead physical asset count coordination across multiple locations
• Mentor junior team members and drive process improvements

Who Are You

Junior:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (final year students welcome)
• 0-2 years of experience in accounting or asset accounting (fresh graduates with relevant internships considered)
• Basic understanding of fixed asset accounting principles and depreciation concepts
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookups)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume requests
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proactive communicator with a willingness to learn and grow
• Advanced English language skills (both written and spoken)
• Knowledge of French, Dutch, or other European languages is a plus

Senior:

• Certified accounting professional (CECCAR, Expert-Accountant, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in asset accounting, including fixed assets, capital projects, and lease accounting
• Expert knowledge of relevant IFRS and IAS standards
• Proficiency in SAP Asset Accounting (S4 preferred) and lease accounting tools
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ticketing systems
• Fluent in English, with professional working proficiency in French highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly
