This Position reports to:
AMEA HUB Lead Compensation & Performance

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive ABB's compensation and performance programs at the ground level within countries of responsibility. Each day, you will research, analyze, evaluate, and oversee ABB compensation and performance activities with a wide degree of creativity and latitude. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting cross-functional initiatives as required.

The work model for the role is: onsite

You will be mainly accountable for::

  • Subject matter expert for all compensation & performance related topics in countries in scope.
  • Compensation cycle management - Annual Salary Review (ASR), Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), Long‑Term Incentive Plan (LTIP).
  • Salary range development & market analysis - Ability to build and maintain salary structures, midpoints, and conduct external competitiveness analyses.
  • Performance Management processes - Understanding of PPM, performance calibration, rating distributions.
  • Data analytics & modelling - High fluency in Excel, market data tools, and ideally Power BI; strong ability to interpret compensation data.
  • Systems expertise - Experience with Workday, compensation tools, and related systems


Qualifications for the role

  • Background of at least 7 years in Total Rewards / Compensation & Benefits within multinational companies
  • Strong analytical and project management skills & change management skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently and drive strategic initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment, with ability to partner with HRBPs, Finance, Business Leaders, and global partners.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across diverse geographies.
  • Expertise in short term incentive plans.
  • Familiarity with China labor laws, understanding of China market practice
  • Experience with China regulatory reporting
  • Familiarity with matrix organizations
  • Advanced Excel and data interpretation skills
  • Experience supporting China or broader APAC markets
