As a Staff Delivery Manager supporting Procurement within Digital Finance, Procurement & Workplace, you will lead end-to-end delivery across both service management operations and project delivery initiatives. You will be accountable for service stability, digital product performance, on-time delivery of enhancements and upgrades, and the continual improvement of procurement-related platforms and services. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating DevOps squads, aligning collaborators across Technology and business teams, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring BP's digital services and projects deliver measurable value.
What You Will Deliver
Project & Delivery Leadership
- Collaborate across internal Technology and business teams to define delivery plans, achievements-, scope, resourcing and budget for the service and projects delivery.
- Lead Projects and DevOps squads to deliver continuous improvements and new capabilities at pace.
- Drive cross-team delivery of complex initiatives involving global process owners, product owners, technology and business SMEs.
- Work with Product Owners to maintain an up-to-date delivery roadmap, ensuring strong alignment to business value.
- Support teams in applying agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, ensuring high-quality delivery outcomes.
- Be responsible for product maintenance, platform upgrades, patches, and security-related updates across procurement solutions.
- Make informed prioritisation decisions (e.g., patching vs. new enhancements) in alignment with service needs and business priorities.
Service Management & Operations
- Own the delivery, stability and performance of assigned Digital Core services across the procurement landscape.
- Lead incident, problem and organizational change processes, ensuring compliance with BP standards.
- Manage operational incidents effectively, ensuring rapid restoration of service and quality post-incident reviews.
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and user experience.
- Ensure operational readiness for new features, releases, technology changes, disaster recovery, business continuity plan, etc.
- Provide transparent reporting on service KPIs, SLAs, risks, and improvements.
- Oversee vendor and partner delivery performance, ensuring consistency to service commitments and contractual responsibilities.
- Support management of service outcomes with suppliers providing developer augmentation or technical delivery support.
Portfolio, Financial & Vendor Management
- Manage financials and budgets associated with responsible delivery and operational squads.
- Plan and manage framework upgrades, general maintenance, and application simplification initiatives.
- Lead vendor management and contract ownership across SaaS products, SOW-based engagements, and operational support partners.
What you will need to be successful (experience & qualification)
Essential
- 10+ years' experience in service management, IT delivery, or digital operations roles.
- Project delivery experience, preferably involving multi-team or multi-functional environments.
- Hands-on experience with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational incidents and complex service environments.
- Working understanding of procurement processes and procurement technology solutions (e.g., Ariba, Fieldglass, S/4HANA Procurement).
Desirable
- ITIL v4 certification.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, digital controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in enterprise-scale digital transformations.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and agile delivery tooling.
