This role will sit within the Finance FP&A organization and will be accountable for delivering business planning and performance management and business partnering support for Castrol India Lubricants Business.
The role involves leading the delivery of financial forecasts for Castrol India and delivering business planning and performance management insights at the Executive level. This position requires partnering
with business leadership as well finance leadership to gain a deep understanding of the business context. The key objective is to develop and deliver insightful financial products that enable effective business financial performance management and support decision-making at the Executive
level. It will also involve analysing costs and bringing about efficiency.
The role demands good team player skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities while meeting collaborator expectations. It also involves a knowledge of managing performance management processes and optimizing the financial outcomes of the business.
Key responsibilities:
Performance Planning (INSA business & India- Listed Entity)
• Assist with the submission of Plans, Rolling Forecasts, and Latest Estimates (volumes, costs, and cash) for the INSA business, including Lubricants, Services, and Ancillaries for India & South Asia.
• Assist in forecasting Business Financials through the SAC / KERIS GSV tool for INSA business.
• Assist the analyst in cost budgets for India, South Asia business as well as for CIL (Listed Entity)
• Forecast Operating Working Capital and Cash Flow for India and South Asia.
• Possess a good understanding of Capex investments and manage the forecast of Capex, including both
Performance Reporting Listed Entity
• Brand-Channel-Space performance analyzing brand-channel performances and prepare informative MI's / narratives to articulate performance versus forecast.
• Cash Cost: Assist the India Finance Analyst in reviewing monthly actuals versus forecasts and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify insights on variances in different lines in the P&L and share forward looking actions for meeting the plan.
• Monthly Business Reviews: Assist the India Finance Advisor in preparing data / MI that highlights the business performance of the PU.
• Operating WC Cash Flow: Independently review the actual versus forecast collabaration with customers to understand variances versus forecast. Provide actionable insights
• Cash Capex: Monitor Capex spends versus forecast closely and flag any expected savings that may result from underspending of Capex.
Performance Management
• As Finance tag for Cross Functional Negotiations, negotiate and bring value for Sales & Marketing spends
• Prepare monthly Trade Loan performance reports, share insights with stakeholders, including inance Advisor, CFO, Channel Head, and MD.
• Monthly review of Working Capital balances to ensure Cash Flow aligns with forecast, detailing any actions for future reference.
Quarterly Board Engagement Pack & Analyst calls
• Assist in preparing the Board Engagement slides quarterly by working closely with Sales & Marketing teams to bring out narrative that is consistent with Performance for the Quarter
• Prepare FAQs for the quarterly Analyst call and attend these calls to understand the investor's queries / line of questions.
Experience & Qualifications:
A university degree (in either of accounting, commerce, economics, trade etc.) and a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is essential.
A minimum of 5-10years with a minimum 1-2 years' experience covering areas of business performance management, financial accounting and reporting, business planning and financial control is required.
The post-holder must have a high degree of analytical skills, numerical skills and commercial awareness.
Experience in an operations or business role would have an added advantage
The role holder will work closely with fellow team members within Embedded Finance Team, GBS Team in Pune, PPM team in UK, teams across all functions in CIL
