Where will you work as a Flue Gas Treatment and Mechanical Site Supervisor (M/F) ?

We are looking for a Mechanical Works and Smoke Treatment Supervisor for one of our clients in the energy sector to work on a construction site in Dombasle-sur-Meurthe.

Flue Gas Treatment and Mechanical Site Supervisor (M/F): What will your duties and responsibilities be?

As Flue Gas Treatment and Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate all activities carried out by subcontractors in relation to the treatment of flue gases from the facility, as well as HVAC, fire protection, and metal structure companies working on the Balance of Plant, in accordance with applicable regulations, the HSE rules defined for the project, and technical specifications, with a view to achieving QCD and safety objectives. Reporting functionally to the Construction Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Ensure compliance with the schedule for ongoing construction activities within your area of responsibility, as well as the quality of the work and acceptance of the completed works for the lots you supervise.
  • Provide your technical expertise in the field of smoke treatment facility installation.
  • Be the main point of contact for the companies whose lots you supervise for their day-to-day activities.
  • Identify HSE anomalies on the site and take the necessary measures according to the level of danger (inform the HSE team, intervene directly, etc.).
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings for the area(s) under your responsibility, attended by contractors and trade supervisors. You will take this opportunity to make decisions that benefit the project and check that activities are in line with the objectives set in the schedule.
  • Record the physical progress of the companies under your responsibility on a weekly basis, forward it to the planner, and anticipate the work to be carried out in relation to the reference schedule, the companies' schedules, and the assembly sequence. In addition, ensure that companies distribute a 3- to 5-week schedule according to the needs of the site.
  • Participate in buildability reviews for the lots you supervise and define the client's stopping points/control points with regard to the activities of the companies under your responsibility
  • Ensure that NDT (non-destructive testing) is defined early enough to be integrated into the overall construction schedule (radiography) and actively participate in the review/validation of specific company operating procedures, task safety analysis, lifting plans, etc. for all critical activities
  • Prepare work completion certificates, set up punch lists (including punch classification, associated corrective actions, and associated follow-up), and participate in the transfer of works to the commissioning team and in the acceptance of installations with the end customer


What profile and skills are required for this position of Flue Gas Treatment and Mechanical Site Supervisor (M/F) ?

  • You have at least 15 years of experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Construction Manager (as a project owner, project manager, and/or as a piping contractor).
  • You have significant experience in the installation of smoke treatment systems.
  • You are experienced in managing large projects (investment > ₠100 million).
  • You are trained in the safety of external company personnel and have a level 2 security authorization
