Position Overview: The Quality Manager provides support, guidance, and expertise to ensure SOCAR-KBR quality management requirements are implemented effectively and efficiently throughout the project lifecycle. The role reports functionally to the Corporate Quality Manager, with day-to-day reporting to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage QA/QC activities throughout the project lifecycle and acting as the focal point for all quality-related matters.
- Establish and maintain a Project Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and contractual requirements.
- Implement effective, risk-based quality management and assurance arrangements.
- Ensure SOCAR-KBR's Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures are effectively implemented throughout the project.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including Right First Time and lessons learned across the project.
- Develop and maintain the Project Quality Plan, ensuring all project team members are aware of and comply with its requirements.
- Lead and manage quality team resources within the project team.
- Develop and implement internal and external audit programs relevant to the project scope.
- Liaise and interface with client quality representatives.
- Work closely with contractors to fully understand quality requirements and deliver services/products that meet or exceed project expectations.
- Coordinate supplier surveillance activities, including inspection, validation, and verification to provide assurance.
- Coordinate Pre-Inspection Meetings with suppliers where required.
- Lead NCR investigations and root cause analyses for project quality issues.
- Manage and coordinate second-party service provider inspections and review inspection reports.
- Promote a strong HSSE and quality culture within SOCAR-KBR and with external stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable aptitude for quality, with quality management discipline experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Internationally certified Lead Auditor (current), or relevant auditing experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of risk management within a quality management context.
- Strong ability to promote collaborative working relationships.
- Proven experience in a construction quality leadership role.
- CSWIP 3.2.1 or API 570 Piping Inspector or equivalent (Advantageous not essential).
- Demonstrable knowledge of Contracts, project engineering and construction.
- Problem solving, Organizational and time management skills.
