Function Description

As an Offshore Welder, you will be responsible for performing high‑quality welding and fabrication work on offshore vessels, platforms, and structural components. Duties include welding repairs, pipe welding, structural fabrication, equipment maintenance, and ensuring all welding activities comply with international safety and quality standards. You will work closely with offshore engineers and construction teams, often in challenging conditions, requiring strong technical skills, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively during extended offshore rotations.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and documentation:
Mandatory Safety Certifications

• OPITO BOSIET (including HUET with EBS/CA‑EBS)
• STCW Basic Safety Training
• Valid Offshore Medical Certificate (OGUK or equivalent / ENG1 for vessel roles)

Technical Welding Qualifications

• Certified Welder Qualification (e.g., 6G/6GR, FCAW, SMAW, GTAW depending on project scope)
• Experience with offshore‑grade materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex)

Additional Recommended Offshore Courses

• Firefighting & basic first aid (included within STCW/BOSIET modules)
• Sea survival and evacuation training
• GWO Confined space and working at height

Documentation & Compliance

• Valid passport and work authorization for offshore regions
• Seafarer's Book (for vessel‑based roles)

Experience

• 2-5 years welding experience in offshore, marine, heavy industry or oil & gas environments
