Wood is recruiting a HSE Advisor as part of our strategic growth plan for 2026 and beyond. You will join our Operations business in a pivotal role as we partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract. Based in Perth CBD, this is a 12-month contract role and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the HSE Lead, you'll be supporting key clients, and internal functional and delivery teams in the operational aspects of day-to-day and strategic HSE management. This role is primarily office‑based in Perth CBD, with frequent site visits to support operational activities, client engagement and assurance requirements.

- Provide trusted HSE advice to internal and external stakeholders, communicating with clarity and influence, and actively seeking and sharing constructive feedback.
- Build strong, credible relationships with clients, peers, and Contract Management teams to foster a collaborative, solutions‑focused approach.
- Lead risk‑based workshops and deliver engaging HSE presentations that drive awareness and regulatory compliance.
- Apply sound judgement in assurance activities, including audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions, while championing continuous learning and improvement.
- Take a proactive, holistic approach to HSE, applying industry context and best practice to positively influence safety culture and performance.
- Support field execution by ensuring key work activities, documentation, and quality requirements are completed to the expected standard.
- Take ownership of on‑site quality support, proactively assisting the office quality team and ensuring quality requirements are upheld across all stages of delivery.

- Bachelor's degree in HSE/WHS/OHS (preferred); or Australian Diploma, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent;
- 4 years of relevant HSE experience; and
