JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for providing support to the offshore operations team when required relating to the operation, maintenance, and diagnostics of static mechanical equipment.
• Accountable for preparing work in accordance with the Clients activity planning process, adhering to gate criteria and stage gate readiness requirements.
• Responsible for overseeing Performance Standards compliance for static mechanical Equipment through maintenance delivery and compliance testing. Notify the Mechanical Technical Authority of any deviations.
• Provision of front-line technical support across static mechanical discipline that is in line with Clients and Industry standards.
• Manage static mechanical equipment maintenance outages ensuring flawless execution against the project plan.
• Consult with Technical Authorities as necessary to resolve technical challenges that require in depth investigation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support safe and environmentally responsible rotating equipment operation that underpins Clients License to Operate.
• Identify opportunities for equipment improvements and modifications. Raise or respond to Engineering Queries (EQ's) to propose the changes.
• Identify equipment upgrade projects and support the Management of Change (MoC) process.
• Contract focal point for nominated static mechanical equipment vendors (Cranes, lifeboats, flexible hoses), direct liaison, and interface to drive timely reporting, repairs, and product improvements.
• Ensuring Corrective Work Orders are captured in CMMS and progressed. Support maintenance deferral notifications where required.
• Ensuring all machinery condition information is up to date, equipment health is understood, and relevant remedial actions are scheduled accordingly.
• Responsible for managing spend on the relevant maintenance budgets. Input into budget forecasts and annual budget planning.
• Responsible for ensuring critical spares and suitable stock levels are identified for all critical rotating equipment.
• Conduct offshore site visits to enhance onshore/offshore collaboration, survey Rotating Equipment and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations. Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) where required. Support the Environmental Dept. for emissions reporting.
• Provide input where require supporting Verifier surveys and responses to Verifier findings.

Provide input to HSE inspection plans as required and actions arising as directed by the HSE Advisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• Degree qualified Engineer with relevant detail design experience and significant operations involvement.
• An ability to work under pressure
• Current working knowledge of static mechanical engineering, guidance and legislation, as it is applied by an E&P operator in the UK NS sector
• Be able to demonstrate commitment to safety, led by example
• Commercial awareness
• Preferably Chartered Engineer with professional engineering institute such as IMechE
