Wood is recruiting a Facilities Team Leader (FTL) on a core basis for Triton FPSO. This role mobilises from Aberdeen on a 2*3 rotation.
The Facilities Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership, direction, coordination, and management of fabric maintenance, construction, scaffolding, and vendor operations. Ensure engineering activities are delivered to a high standard, consistently and competently, in accordance with company requirements, standards, and procedures.
This role is pivotal in driving adherence to planning and work execution processes, fostering strong collaboration with onshore support teams, and maintaining alignment with corporate procedures.
The Facilities Team Leader must exemplify strong safety leadership by guaranteeing that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in strict alignment with company policies and procedures.
The Facilities Team Leader requires extensive hands-on experience gained from a solid trade background, providing a practical understanding of field operations and construction methods. Beginning their career as a skilled tradesperson, they should have developed strong technical expertise in fabrication, welding, mechanical, E & I or structural disciplines before progressing into supervisory roles. This foundation allows the FTL to effectively bridge the gap between engineering design and site execution, ensuring that construction work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required specification.
Their trade experience enables them to lead by example, communicate clearly with multi-discipline crews, and anticipate potential challenges in offshore construction and services activities. With a deep respect for safety and quality standards, they combine technical know-how with proven leadership skills to deliver successful offshore activities sets, vendor related scopes and projects under demanding conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role has the following responsibilities and outputs:
• Responsible for leadership and direction of the team ensuring the planned activities and process are followed to ensure workforce efficiency at all times.
• Responsible for delivery of 7-day schedule, including overall schedule compliance, backlog management, and break-in work prioritisation. Assisting with resource scheduling and ensuring any resulting backlog is rescheduled.
• Responsible for adherence to Dana Work Execution procedures from offshore teams, including consistent adoption of work prioritisation and offshore support meetings ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant functional standards, processes and procedures.
• Responsible for communicating and developing effective working relationships with the onshore focal points (Maintenance Focal Point, Integrity Engineer and Facilities Lead) to ensure all planned scopes are prepared appropriately and executed in a timely manner.
• Adept at leading multi-disciplined teams and delivering complex offshore projects with a focus on safety, quality, and timely execution.
• Responsible for the safe, efficient and effective delivery of all Vendor relates scopes, ensuring lessons are captured and deployed for future work scopes.
• Participation in the integrated asset planning process, from long term, 90 days & 28-day planning, ensuring operational constraints are identified and discussed. Ensure gate criteria is followed by all departments, monitor break ins to plan and ensure justification.
• Arrange, facilitate and manage Readiness Reviews prior to any multi disciplined activity commencement.
• Optimise resources and avoid planning inefficiencies through proactive planned activity delivery preparation and adherence to planning processes.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and a high level of personal commitment to safety. Promote a proactive safety culture by encouraging personnel to stop work and initiate TOFS (Time Out for Safety) when concerns arise.
• Raise and resolve Engineering Queries in a timely manner, ensuring efficiency is maintained.
• Concise communication of safety expectations to all team members at pre-shift briefs and ensure meaningful TBT take place at site.
• Ensure the availability of Personnel, Procedures, Materials, Consumables and Special Tools at the worksite.
• Ensure completion of all as-built documentation as a priority.
• Audit and verify the suitability and quality of permits for all disciplines and vendors.
• Promote HSE principles and lead by example, ensuring compliance with company practice, policies and procedures.
• Complete onboard checks of temporary equipment with discipline trades and upload results to Maximo.
• Oversee and maintain high housekeeping standards in all work areas.
• Ensure completion and documentation of sign-off processes for all FM and construction activities.
• Investigate Unsafe Condition Reports (UCRs) and initiate associated work orders, ensuring timely engagement with all relevant stakeholders.
• Proficient in work pack reviews and constructability reviews. Ensuring feedback is timely.
• Proficient in the use web based Technical Integrity certification processes (Go Completions/GOC), responsible for populating, running reports and providing daily updates.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities to ensure systems and equipment are tested, verified, and ready for operation in accordance with project specifications.
• Work closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams to develop and implement commissioning procedures and schedule.
• Experienced in managing multi disciplined teams on site, utilising core trade to challenge and resolve any technical, operational or organisational issues highlighted.
• Assist in resolving on-site engineering or design issues by liaising with the engineering and or project teams.
• Liaise with Onshore Engineering coordinator and ensure that offshore construction priorities align with the onshore expectations.
• Carry out role of OCS/FTL or Focal Point during annual shutdowns.
• Ensure defect tags are attached to defective equipment and work orders are raised to arrange repair work scope.
• Provide support where appropriate to other site departments to maintain highest level of operational efficiency.
• Responsible for management of materials offshore, ensure equipment isn't mobilised earlier than 10 days prior to scope commencement.
• Ensure specialist vendors, ad hoc techs or tradesman are only mobilised when equipment, resources, and documentation is offshore and confirmation of scope readiness.
Onshore Responsibilities (if required)
• Audit tooling, plant, equipment, and consumables for offshore construction campaigns.
• Create and manage work orders for all facilities teams, including construction, fabric maintenance, and scaffolding.
• Verify third-party work orders as a Work Team Lead Reviewer.
• Attend pre-mobilisation task-specific briefings with third-party trades and vendors when applicable.
• Participate in onshore design and constructability reviews.
• Contribute to construction campaign risk assessments.
• Review, challenge, and oversee construction work packages.
• Confirm QA/QC documentation is available for temporary equipment prior to scope commencement. No documentation, equipment doesn't get mobilised.
HSEQ Responsibilities:
Everyone working for or on behalf of Dana Petroleum has the following responsibilities with regard to:
• Familiarise with Dana Policies & procedures, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards ensuring they are fully conversant with Triton Emergency Response plans.
• Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, Environment, Assets and Reputation while applying risk reduction measures.
• Understand and comply with their roles and responsibilities, ensuring delivery on all HSE expectations
• Ensure full compliance with company and regulatory HSE policies, procedures, and standards during all offshore construction, engineering and services activities.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks, safety briefings, and task-specific risk assessments (e.g., JSA, TRA) with all work crews.
• Verify that all personnel are competent, trained, and medically fit for assigned offshore tasks.
• Enforce the Permit to Work (PTW) system and ensure all work activities are properly authorized and controlled.
• Identify potential hazards and unsafe conditions, ensuring immediate corrective actions are taken to eliminate or mitigate risks.
• Monitor ongoing work to ensure compliance with SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) and isolation procedures.
• Participate in HSE inspections, audits, and safety walks; ensure findings are documented and closed out promptly
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and contributing to HSE performance reviews.
• Fully participate in the Dana Serious About Safety Program and additional HSEQ training or instruction by or on behalf of Dana Petroleum
• Emergency Response duties as nominated by OIM

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
• Recognised Trade Apprenticeship - Pipefitter/Plater/Mechanical or E&I
• NVQ in base trade
Knowledge, skills and experience:
• Extensive experience in an offshore engineering / construction environment
• Knowledge and experience of offshore working practices including demonstrated ability to understand drawings, work pack format, reporting and procedures
• Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of safe working systems - COW, Synergi, Power BI, EOBS etc
• Proven track record for delivering multidiscipline engineering scopes
• Significant engineering/management experience preferably with employment on behalf of client organization
Technical Integrity
• Read, understand and implement all applicable company/project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring that work scopes are completed safely and to a high standard at all times.
