Context and environment
The project consists of the conversion of Grandpuits refinery to a zero hydrocarbon Refinery. It will cover the PYROLYSIS, BIOJET and OSBL & UTILITY projects, thus this role has the responsibility to ensure the coherence of all HSE topics as well as maximizing the synergies between the different GALAXIE projects.
Job Description
Mission dimensions
The Process Engineer supports the Process Leader during Execution phases of the Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning. Throughout the Project, his main responsibility is:
• Assist the Process lead with the redaction of OTP, the definition of leak test.
• Identify some potential process clashes between different phases of the project, such as planning versus precommissioning.
• Coordinate with other technical disciplines to help to provide responses to process design, instrumentation and control, rotating equipment, static equipment, etc.
• Coordinate the preservation tasks using ICAPS, organize preservation meetings with the different actors.
Activities
HSE:
• To achieve and to make achieve to the personnel, contractors / subcontractors the HSE rules of the Company.
• Take Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) lead in ensuring safe systems of work' and 'safe conditions' are in place within the area of Responsibility.
• Demonstrate visible commitment to HSE by periodically leading/participating in risk assessments, audits, HSE meetings.
Technical:
• Prepare operational mitigations, such as warm up, monitoring, mitigation and remediation procedures for preservation, flushing and pigging/cleaning for the project HEFA
• Assist process lead to establish Operational Test Procedure (OTP) in relation with HEFA project
• Liaise with the Engineering team and OneTech to answer queries and/or provide technical support
• Assistance to the commissioning/start up teams Production/Maintenance/Inspection Company tears as required.
• Provide technical support to the recruitment and training of future process engineers/operators.
• Implement a training and development plan for subordinates.
Interfaces:
• Ensure interface requirements with the OSBL flowlines are incorporated in the design and well defined in operating philosophy.
• Ensure interface with other packages and projects are considered (PIP, Compressor, etc.).
Qualifications
• Background with TOTALENERGIES General Specifications.
• Degree in Petroleum/Process/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in oil and gas process/production (Site or Office). On site operations experience is an advantage.
• Know-how in operation and process of HDT & HDI, degumming, bleeching, LPG.
• Fluency in English, speaking French is a plus.
