Is responsible for fire protection from the design of installations to the execution.
KPIs:
Ownership of licensing & permitting for the construction and operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, enforcing EHS policies, as well as delivering all the work needed in terms of Safety in design, including safety trainings, the design and compliance of fire detection and protection systems, simplifying
the insurability of the future operations.

Is responsible for fire protection from the design of installations to the execution.
KPIs:
- Cluster engineering schedule plan vs actuals
- 100% of the Fire protection recommandations are raised and closed out by engineering implementation or mitigation / managerial decision
Ownership of licensing & permitting for the construction and operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, enforcing EHS policies, as well as delivering all the work needed in terms of Safety in design, including safety trainings, the design and compliance of fire detection and protection systems, simplifying
the insurability of the future operations.
Key accountabilities:
- Is part of the facilities design project team,
- Sets the fire protection strategy for new facilities, in line with Group policy, company standards and insurance requirements,
- Supervises project studies (including risk analysis) in the field of fire safety to ensure future facility compliance with the existing system and regulations,
- Validates the technical choices for fire protection (nature, sizing, etc.) in response to the risk analysis,
- Works closely with the site fire protection expert, fire department (authorities) and insurance company.
Major tasks:
- Risk assessment and safety analysis:
- Conduct fire risk assessment by evaluating potential fire hazards associated with installation and manufacturing processes.
Design and implementation of fire protection system:
- System design: design fire protection systems that comply with industry standards
- Ensure that fire protection is adapted to new equipment and processes.
- Oversee the installation of fire protection systems, ensuring they are correctly implemented and fully operational
Compliance and regulatory adherence:
- Ensure all fire protection measures meet local, national and international fire safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Maintain detailed records of fire safety systems, modifications, inspections and compliance reports.
Emergency preparedness and response planning:
- Develop emergency response plans by creating and updating emergency response plans to address potential fire incidents according to installation and specificities.
- Liaise with local fire department and emergency responders to ensure they are familiar with plant's layout and fire protection systems
Project management and coordination:
- Work closely with engineering teams to integrate fire protection measures in installation
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in HSE or in Engineering (a plus would be the CNPP Cycle supérieur incendie or the CFPA-Europe Fire safety: management cycle training course)
- At least 5 years' experience in technical or construction projects, having been involved in fire protection design,
- Technical English and French, read and spoken
- Good knowledge of French regulatory requirements on fire protection, including APSAD certifications,
- Expertise in the fire protection monitoring of industrial facilities and knowledge of NFPA certifications,
- Ability to develop technical knowledge,
- Ability to work as part of an international, multidisciplinary project team, fluent in English
- Good interpersonal skills, rigor, self-reliance, curiosity.
