Assistant Operator (Coiled Tubing)

JOB PURPOSE:
Assists in the execution of coiled tubing operations to support oilfield services activities. Ensures the safe and
efficient delivery of coiled tubing services to enhance well productivity and operational performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Assist in the preparation, assembly, and deployment of coiled tubing equipment and tools for well
intervention and stimulation operations.
• Support the operation of coiled tubing units, including monitoring equipment performance, pressure,
and flow rates, and assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance activities as required.
• Assist in rigging up and rigging down coiled tubing equipment at well sites, ensuring adherence to safety
procedures and operational standards.
• Assist in the execution of coiled tubing interventions, such as cleanouts, perforating, logging, and
stimulation treatments, under the guidance of experienced operators and supervisors.
• Handle and maintain tools, equipment, and materials used in coiled tubing operations, ensuring proper
storage, inspection, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with the coiled tubing team and other departments to ensure efficient coordination of
resources and timely completion of job tasks and objectives.
• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of
practice.

• Provide on-the-job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating
procedures and functional processes.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures
& controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with
international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and
safety of assets.
Housekeeping
• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during operations, in line with established
standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports
• Provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Prepare various Key Performance Indicator (KPI) checklists for management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
• Daily contact with Operator, Coiled Tubing and with Site Support Services staff.
External
• Client Well Services Personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
• Completion of Secondary (12 years) education in English, Mathematics or a science subject Or High
School education and Diploma / Certificate in Coil Tubing training.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
• Minimum 1 years practical mechanical exposure and as an Operator Assistant.
• Given the nature of oil field service work, must possess good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Computer awareness in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel programmes.
• Simple written and spoken English.
