In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers across multiple regions, providing comprehensive support in our fast-paced operational environment. Working with a geographically dispersed workforce, you'll partner with leadership to manage sensitive HR matters while making a meaningful impact on our organization's success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated HR representative for 300+ employees throughout the Rockies and Pacific regions, with particular focus on Williston and broader North Dakota operations
- Provide expert guidance to managers on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and effective complaint resolution
- Lead and execute organizational changes requiring sensitive personnel decisions, including strategic planning, communication, and compliance activities
- Maintain meticulous employee data integrity in HRIS systems, ensuring accountability and timely updates
- Champion culture-building initiatives to enhance retention and employee engagement across all business areas
- Ensure strict compliance with state-specific employment requirements, with special attention to California labor laws
Skills Required
- Strong employee relations expertise with ability to handle complex HR situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management
- Proven ability to work independently with remote leadership support
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders
- Knowledge of state-specific employment laws, particularly California labor regulations
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- Demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Proven track record in onboarding and offboarding HR operations
Qualifications Preferred
- Experience in energy, industrial, or field-service sectors
- Background working with large international organizations
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed workforces
- Familiarity with HR best practices in operational environments
