The Role:
The Principal FP&A Analyst plays a pivotal role in strengthening ENGIE Impact's financial insight, planning rigor, and decision support-particularly across our Product & Digital portfolio. This role blends strong financial acumen with advanced analytical and technology capabilities to enhance how we forecast, analyze, and communicate performance.Working closely with Product, Digital, Finance, and Executive leaders, this position supports value creation by elevating our analytical depth, improving transparency into investment performance, and enabling informed, strategic decision making that supports ENGIE Impact's long‑term growth.

At ENGIE Impact, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining pay. Actual pay will vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, experience, skills, qualifications, location, and internal equity. All offers will be in compliance with all local, state, and federal minimum wage requirements.
The target pay range for this position is $82,450- $139,150
In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Additional ENGIE benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off, paid holidays, and annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
- Serve as a senior finance partner to Product, Digital, and Technology leaders, aligning financial insights with product strategy, digital innovation, and execution.
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating product and digital initiatives into clear financial outcomes, investment implications, and tradeoffs.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across Product, Engineering, Data, and Finance to drive shared accountability and informed decision-making.
Planning, Forecasting & Financial Modeling
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning for Product & Digital, ensuring transparency, rigor, and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Develop dynamic, driver-based financial models to support scenario planning, investment pacing, and roadmap prioritization.
- Track performance against plan and deliver forward-looking insights and variance analysis that inform leadership actions.
Capital Planning & Investment Governance
- Partner with Product & Digital leadership to support capital planning and investment governance across product, platform, and technology initiatives.
- Evaluate investment proposals and business cases, delivering balanced, data-driven recommendations that assess ROI, risks, and long-term value creation.
- Maintain a forward-looking view of capital needs and tradeoffs across operational priorities, product strategy, and multi-year growth objectives.
- Monitor performance of approved investments and enhance visibility into spend, progress, and value realization.
Reporting, Analytics & Decision Support
- Strengthen the reporting environment by designing intuitive, automated dashboards and analytics (e.g., Power BI) that improve visibility into product and digital performance.
- Integrate data from multiple sources to support strategic reviews, operational forums, and executive decision-making.
- Contribute to the continued evolution toward insight-driven, automated analytics across FP&A and Product Finance.
Financial Systems, Automation & Data Governance
- Apply advanced Excel and modeling capabilities to improve workflows, accelerate analysis, and enhance accuracy.
- Partner with Financial Systems teams to optimize planning models and reporting structures within enterprise platforms (e.g., Adaptive Planning, SAP BPC).
- Champion strong data governance, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and reliable financial information that supports scalable analytics.
Executive Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Translate complex financial, technical, and product data into clear, compelling narratives tailored to senior and non-finance audiences.
- Develop concise, visually engaging materials that highlight performance trends, investment considerations, and portfolio insights.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across FP&A, modeling, data integration, and finance operating processes.
Education and Experience:
- 7-10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or product/digital finance roles.
- Proven experience evaluating product, technology, and digital investments, including business cases and ROI analysis.
- Strong understanding of product and unit economics and long-range financial planning.
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis skills.
- Proficiency with enterprise planning systems and BI tools; advanced Excel and automation experience.
- Strong executive communication, storytelling, and cross-functional partnership skills.
Work Environment:
- Work schedules are determined by business need and manager discretion; full time employment is considered 40 hours per week
