The Global Supply Chain FLIGHT DECK Lean Process, Data Analysis & Digital Innovation Specialist will spearhead operational excellence through the application of Lean principles, concurrently integrating digital transformation and data analytics. The candidate will assume responsibility for standardization, governance, evolution, and digitalization of processes, thereby ensuring strategic alignment and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to transform raw data into actionable insights and data-driven decision-making.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Kaizen Roadmap & Data Management: Ensure the contemporaneous update and strategic alignment of the Kaizen Roadmap across all operational sites and the Global Supply Chian (e.g., Smartsheet), utilizing data visualization tools to provide real-time visibility into progress and bottlenecks
• Standard Adherence: Orchestrate the adoption of specific performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure utmost consistency and adherence to established standards (e.g., Roadmap, Tracker, and KPI/TTI metrics)
• Strategic Initiatives Oversight: Provide rigorous oversight of all strategic initiatives, monitoring progression possibly through automated dashboards and predictive analysis
• Governance & Data Analysis: Provide robust support for the governance of organizational standards and ensure comprehensive alignment (e.g., standardized tools, consistent data models). Perform deep-dive statistical analysis on operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization, ensuring consistency across all metrics
• Digitalization and AI Integration: Drive the seamless integration of cutting-edge digital technologies and AI solutions to automate repetitive functions, enhance data-driven decision-making processes, and optimize workflows
• Solution Development: Engage in cross-functional collaboration to translate complex process challenges into actionable opportunities, furnishing the foundational requirements for the subsequent analysis and development of bespoke solutions
• Coaching and Operational Support: Serve as a subject matter expert and coach, providing on-site support for Gemba activities as dictated by operational necessity (e.g., data literacy, expert facilitation, targeted training modules)
• Information Alignment: Guarantee the stringent alignment of all relevant information and reporting standards with the governance teams at Avio Aero and GE Aerospace

Qualifications/Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Data Science, or a closely related discipline
• Demonstrated strong experience in the cooperation and successful application of Lean and Six Sigma principles
• Applied practical knowledge of project management methodologies, Data Analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python/R) and contemporary digitalization tools
• Proficiency in programming or substantial experience with the development and seamless integration of AI/Machine Learning solutions and Big Data analytics
• Exceptional analytical acumen, advanced problem-solving capabilities, and professional communication skills
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Work Visa, in accordance with local regulations, is required

Desired Characteristics

• Advanced Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or recognized Supply Chain certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP)
• Data Science & Technical Toolkit: Proven expertise in Python, SQL, and BI tools (Dashboard/Tableau) to develop predictive analytics for demand management and inventory optimization
• Digital Innovation & AI: Hands-on experience implementing Machine Learning, RPA, or AI solutions within manufacturing and logistics environments
• Systems & Infrastructure: Familiarity with ERP ecosystems (SAP/Oracle), Cloud Data Warehousing (GCP/Azure), and Industry 4.0 technologies (MES, IoT)
• Advanced Modeling: Proficiency in process simulation ("simulate-before-ship" approach) and high-level data modeling
• Strategic Communication: Strong Data Storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex datasets into intuitive dashboards and strategic insights for senior management
