Where will you work as an Industrial Buyer (M/F) ?

We are looking for an Industrial Buyer (M/F) for one of our clients in the agri-food industry, who will be based in Montauban de Bretagne (FR-35)

Industrial Buyer (M/F): What will your duties and responsibilities be?

As an Industrial Buyer (M/F), you will join the Food & Ingredients department and report to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager. You will work closely with various project teams, ensuring the operational follow-up of purchases for a segment of products and services in the Food & Ingredients process areas. Your main responsibilities will include :

Sourcing suppliers, qualifying them, and auditing them
  • Consulting on equipment and services during the pre-sales phase
  • Consulting on equipment and services during the implementation phase
  • Technical and economic comparison of supplier bids with project and technical services
  • Negotiation (price, quality, deadline, legal clauses) of files
  • Contractualization with suppliers
  • Proposal of procedures, tools, and model documents with a view to continuous improvement
  • Creation of framework contracts and annual pricing agreements


You will also participate in defining technical requirements and standardizing equipment.

Occasional travel to suppliers and/or construction sites is to be expected.

What profile and skills are required for this position of Industrial Buyer (M/F) ?

  • You have a higher education degree in purchasing or engineering.
  • You have at least 5 years' experience in purchasing in the industrial or logistics sector.
  • Experience in the process industry (food, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals) will be highly valued.
  • Fluency in French is mandatory in order to communicate with French-speaking teams.
