Job Description Summary
The Digital Technology Leadership Program (DTLP) Internship at GE Aerospace is a 2 month experiential learning opportunity designed for high potential MTech students who aspire to build careers in advanced digital technology for aerospace.
As a DTLP Intern, you will work on high impact, real world projects within GE Aerospace's Digital Technology organization, collaborating with engineers, architects, and digital leaders. Internship assignments are structured to give you exposure to how software, data, and IT systems enable safety, quality, delivery, and cost for a global aerospace leader.

Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

As a DTLP Intern, you will:
- Work on live technical projects within GE Aerospace Digital Technology, contributing to the design, development, or enhancement of digital solutions.
- Contribute to areas such as software development, data engineering and analytics, ERP, IT operations, cloud platforms or cybersecurity and enabling AI, depending on assignment.
- Translate functional or business requirements into technical tasks with guidance from mentors and technical leads.
- Apply strong programming, data, and problem‑solving skills to build, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a global, matrixed environment, including digital, engineering, supply chain, and other functions.
- Demonstrate ownership, curiosity, and a learning mindset, actively seeking feedback and continuously improving.
Ideal Candidate:
Should be enrolled in a full‑time M.Tech program in CS. Minimum cumulative CGPA of 7.0/10.0 or equivalent.
Required Qualification:
- Currently enrolled in a full‑time MTech program in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (such as Information Technology, Data Science, or similar).
- Strong foundational knowledge in algorithms, data structures, databases, operating systems, computer networks, or related core CS subjects.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, GoLang, or similar.
- Minimum cumulative CGPA of 7.0/10.0 or equivalent.
- Expected to graduate by May/June 2027.
- Must be geographically mobile as required by the business for the internship assignment location(s).
Desired Qualification:
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical problems and propose structured solutions.
- Solid programming skills, with experience in software development, coding projects, labs, or prior internships.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices such as version control, testing, CI/CD, agile methodologies, and code reviews is an advantage.
- Interest and aptitude in areas such as cloud computing, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying up‑to‑date with current IT and software industry standards, tools, and development methodologies.
- Strong customer focus and ability to understand how technical work supports business outcomes and end‑user value.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to document and explain technical work clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in teams, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute constructively to discussions and problem‑solving.
- Demonstrated leadership potential through academic projects, hackathons, student organizations, or prior work or internship experience.
- Demonstrates integrity, embodies GE Aerospace behaviors, applies critical thinking, and is a strong team player.
