Job Description

Responsible for proper material handling to ensure effective materials receipt, inspection, storing, preserving, issuing and reconciling of Project/ Non-Project materials as applicable

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective and efficient functioning of Stores as per company policies and procedures, including HSE requirements
• Receive materials, ensures materials are off loaded at correct location
• Inspect materials against documentation including specifications, test certificates and review/ report non-conformance in cases of damage, wrong, under/ over-supply
• Endorse materials with identification marks, supervises the stacking, binning and preservation activities in line with vendor recommendation and client specifications
• Forward completed documentation for entry into ERP system
• Arrange material for QC & Client inspection as per RFI requirement
• Action approved demand vouchers by issuing and arranging dispatch of materials
• Receives/ inspect materials returned for reconciliation
• Preparation of any reports as and when required
• Carries out stock checking and reconciliation at regular intervals and after end of projects
• Work in compliance with HSE regulations
• Use proper tools and equipment, any protective devices or clothing for handling materials
• Report any known workplace hazard or violations to the supervisor
• Not remove or make ineffective any protective device required by the employer or by regulations
• Computer literate
• Good communication skills
• Good level of spoken & written English
• Working knowledge of materials & spare parts specific to hydrocarbon construction/ dredging/ marine sector
• Strong Safety awareness
• Work programmer targets achieved
• Works at efficient levels in terms of performance and meeting deadlines
• Materials are offloaded at correct location, marked and placed in correct location
• All instances of material non-conformance are recorded and reported
• Reconciliation and correctness of records
• Compliance in accordance with HSE Standards
• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures and equipment used in storage and disbursement of materials
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports

Qualifications

Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific technical qualification or equivalent with Minimum 05 years of related work experience in similar industries

OR

Diploma in a related discipline, or equivalent with Minimum 03 years of related work experience in similar industries
