Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Material, Store & Workshop Supervisor to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our workshop and store facilities, including the management of materials and equipment essential to our projects. The successful candidate will utilize their strong leadership and communication skills to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Your role
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of material storage and workshop activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop and storage areas.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure effective utilization of materials and tools.
- Train and supervise staff in inventory management and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with project teams to forecast material needs and optimize supply.
- Maintain accurate records of assets and inventory movements.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts and timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct regular safety and workflow audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Utilize CAFM systems to enhance operational capabilities and reporting.
About you
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Over 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Valid driver's license.
- Health & Safety Induction, Inventory & Asset Management Training, Workshop & Machinery Safety, and Supervisory Skills Development.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team.
- Familiarity with landscape equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of CAFM systems is desirable.
