JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Senior SPI Designer (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As-Built Documentation
  • Revise and issue the As-Built Master documentation for all instrument datasheets in the SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) program
  • Ensure documentation reflects the latest project specifications and design updates

Revision Control
  • Maintain and track all revisions of instrument datasheets within SPI
  • Log and document every change to guarantee full traceability and compliance with project standards

Standards Compliance
  • Enforce adherence to project documentation standards and revision control procedures
  • Verify that all datasheets meet established quality, regulatory, and project requirements

Data Review & Updates
  • Review and update instrument datasheets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with current design intent
  • Perform thorough checks to eliminate discrepancies between As-Built and design data

Data Integrity
  • Safeguard the integrity of instrument data within SPI
  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies to maintain a reliable and error-free documentation system

Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure instrument documentation supports project execution
  • Provide guidance and support to junior designers and team members on SPI best practices

Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend and implement improvements to SPI workflows, templates, and revision control processes
  • Stay updated on SmartPlant Instrumentation software developments and integrate new functionalities into project workflows

Quality Assurance
  • Conduct periodic audits of instrument datasheets and related documentation to ensure compliance with internal and client standards
  • Support project handover by ensuring all instrument documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived

Technical Support
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance for SPI-related issues
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for SmartPlant Instrumentation within the project team


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering degree
  • Work experience in the respective position no less than 5 years
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant Instrumentation is mandatory
