Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection -typically does not require Engineering degree add non-Engineers language here
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Ensure that interface characteristics between components are established and agreed upon by Designers of mating parts.
- Experience in Mechanical and hydraulic design
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Aeronautical Engineering or similar
Desired Characteristics
- Experience using NX (Siemens) software
- Proficient user of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
