We are currently looking, for one of our clients in the energy sector, for a Lead Inspector / Expeditor, based in Villeurbanne.
Lead Inspector / Expeditor (Welding): What will be your missions and responsibilities?
The Lead Inspector is responsible for:
The Lead Inspector must have strong welding expertise (ideally IWE certified) and solid NDT knowledge.
He/She acts as the key point of contact for critical equipment suppliers and the end client regarding manufacturing surveillance.
He/She reports to the VPM Project Manager and the VPM Team Leader.

Lead Inspector / Expeditor (Welding): What will be your missions and responsibilities?
- Inspection assignments at suppliers' premises across Europe
- Expediting visits at suppliers' facilities in Europe
- VPM coordination within an integrated team based in Villeurbanne
The Lead Inspector is responsible for:
- Performing inspections at suppliers' and major subcontractors' premises
- Managing inspectors under his/her operational responsibility
- Monitoring and controlling the allocated budget
- Following up and closing open points
The Lead Inspector must have strong welding expertise (ideally IWE certified) and solid NDT knowledge.
He/She acts as the key point of contact for critical equipment suppliers and the end client regarding manufacturing surveillance.
He/She reports to the VPM Project Manager and the VPM Team Leader.
What profile and skills are required for this Lead Inspector / Expeditor (Welding) position?
- Experienced Engineer or Technician
- Strong industrial background
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations (PED/DESP, ASME)
- Strong expertise in welding processes and NDT
- Proficiency in IT tools
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience
- French and English: mandatory (spoken and written)
