JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Role

As a Project Lead for Smart Factory initiative, you will play a central coordinating role in NOV's digital transformation across MES, automation, OT infrastructure, data backbone, and digital quality initiatives.

This is a program-level leadership position focused on ensuring structured execution, cross-functional alignment, and clear communication-without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. You will enable Smart Factory to deliver on its roadmap by coordinating activities, tracking progress, preparing governance decisions, and supporting deployments across our global manufacturing sites.

You will work closely with engineering leads (MES, Automation, Data/OT), Production, Quality, Corporate IT, Procurement, and SPS leadership. Acting as a change leader and trusted advisor, you will bridge project teams and leadership while ensuring strategic alignment and operational progress.

About the Company

At NOV, we deliver safe, high-quality, technology-driven equipment, services, and support that are essential to the global energy industry. Our mission is simple: we power the industry that powers the world.

At NOV's business unit Subsea Production Systems (SPS), we empower the energy sector with passion, expertise, and forward-thinking solutions. We develop reliable and efficient subsea energy production products that enhance our customers' energy portfolios. With strong roots in the offshore oil and gas industry, we are also at the forefront of future technologies such as water treatment, ammonia storage, carbon injection, and wind energy-helping to reduce CO₂ emissions and drive the energy transition.

SPS is headquartered in Brøndby, Denmark, with production sites in Kalundborg (DK), Porto do Acu (BR), Glenrothes (UK), and offices in Stavanger and Oslo (NO), Rio de Janeiro (BR), and Houston (US). Globally, our team includes around 1,500 dedicated professionals, contributing to NOV's workforce of approximately 34,000 employees.

• Collaboration with cross-functional engineering, production, and IT teams

• Opportunity to shape modern digital manufacturing capabilities (MES, OT, Automation, Data)

Key Responsibilities

• Support Smart Factory program execution across MES, OT/Data, Automation, and Digital Quality workstreams, maintaining an integrated roadmap and identifying dependencies, risks, and priorities

• Prepare and support governance activities, including Steering Committee materials, status reporting, and decision documentation

• Track budget, resources, and vendor activities, supporting forecasting, procurement processes (RFPs, quotes), and contract follow-up

• Facilitate cross-functional alignment between Smart Factory, Production, Quality, PTA, HSE, and Corporate IT

• Support agile and hybrid delivery models, aligning MVPs, pilots, and sprint activities with overall program objectives

• Coordinate deployment readiness activities including UAT, training, documentation, rollout communication, and hypercare planning

• Maintain program documentation (dashboards, risk logs, scope definitions, RACIs) ensuring a single source of truth

• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance procedures, HSE policies, and corporate standards

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, IT/OT Systems, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in project or program coordination within digital manufacturing, MES/automation, OT/IT integration, or industrial transformation

• Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for diverse stakeholders

• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
