We are seeking a skilled Sport Turf Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of the main pitch at our stadium facilities management project in Qatar. This role requires a deep understanding of sports turf management, focusing on ensuring the highest quality playing surface for athletes. As the Sport Turf Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing and managing turf maintenance programs, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, aeration, and disease management. You will coordinate with ground staff and event management teams to prepare the pitch for events and maintain optimal playing conditions. Your expertise in turfgrass science and management will be instrumental in upholding safety standards and enhancing the performance of the stadium's main pitch. Your Role

• Supervise the maintenance and preparation of the stadium main pitch to meet international sporting standards
• Oversee and coordinate pitch care operations including irrigation, mowing, aeration, feeding, and pest and disease control.
• Ensure the pitch meets the aesthetic and performance requirements for various events hosted at the stadium.
• Plan and manage the use of specialized equipment for turf maintenance efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with event coordinators and sports officials to adjust maintenance activities according to event schedules.
• Implement sustainable turf management practices in line with Qatar's environmental standards.
• Conduct regular assessments of the pitch condition and generate reports with recommendations for improvements.
• Supervise and train ground staff in the proper use of equipment and adherence to health and safety protocols.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in turf management, horticulture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sport turf management, preferably in a stadium environment.
• Hands-on experience with the maintenance and supervision of sports fields, including mowing, aeration, irrigation, and line marking.
• In-depth knowledge of turfgrass species appropriate for sports fields in arid environments.
  Proficiency in managing pest control and disease prevention specific to sports turf.
• Ability to develop and implement maintenance schedules that ensure the pitch meets usage requirements and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to turf health and pitch quality.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for coordinating with stadium management and groundskeeping staff.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team in a multicultural setting.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
