JOB PURPOSE:
Lead EOR strategy for ADNOC group which involves understanding of ADNOC's portfolio, define EOR targets, EOR options, potential timing and define business case for EOR projects. Design and lead R&D projects tomature EOR technologies such as LoSal Hybrid (LSP, LSS), CO2/polymer, cEOR, etc. Provide advice to Senior Management and communicate with Shareholders and major oil service companies on specific technical issues related to subsurface & surface facilities activities, with the focus on CO2, Polymer, low salinity and chemicals supply and handling.

Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the Unit/Department/Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved Unit/Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Unit/Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Unit/Department/Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
Frequent contacts with Onshore and Offshore departments within Development Unit, Planning Unit and UDR Unit. Occasional contacts with Down Stream directorate for EOR related activities
External
Frequent contact with ADNOC Companies and External Partners (Shareholders, IOCs, NOCs, Service Providers and Universities).
Occasional contacts with consultants and service companies on relevant issues.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Reservoir Engineering or equivalent
Master's degree / Ph.D. Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
10 years (varied relevant industry experience including 5 years as a specialist)
Significant experience with oil field operations and production facilities & systems.
Strong familiarity with Polymer/surfactant and/or Hydrocarbon gas I CO2 injection projects.
Experienced with compositional reservoir engineering model and PVT.
Strong team player with excellent communications skills, focused on business
Professional Certifications
External publications including first Author publications in journals or conference proceedings; preferably peer reviewed.

Job Specific Accountabilities
- Lead EOR projects from concept through implementation phases, including well placement & design, well construction, production and reservoir monitoring.
- Lead uncertainty and risk assessment, for the various related EOR projects and pilots.
- Perform system optimization and economic evaluation of EOR pilots and full field phased development plan.
- Stay current with new technical developments inside and outside ADNOC and incorporate there into the knowledge base for effective dissemination of information.
- Plan, design and lead lab studies, field pilot tests and research programs to develop new technology and/or apply developed technology.
- Identify subsurface, infrastructure & process requirements for a reliable and safe implementation of the EOR pilots and full field deployment.
- Analyse, troubleshoot and advise on existing infrastructure elements for optimum utilization during EOR pilots.
- Provide recommendations to upper management on piloting and managing various EOR schemes.
- Participate in defining the best practice/methods for project services , operation readiness , HSSE and project engineering for EOR pilots.
- Hold regular forums and multi-discipline meetings to promote the transfer of experience, knowledge and best practices across OPCOs from shareholders and industry.
- Promote and participates in internal and external peer assists and reviews.
- Lead training and development of junior petroleum engineers that includes assessing training needs and preparation of structured development programs.
- Drive implementation of ADNOC's standards and guidelines in the Group Companies to increase EOR efficiency and value and to achieve the ADNOC Vision
