Staff Project Manager

In this role You will:

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive project plan that outlines scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and results.
  • Lead hiring / staffing of squads needed for delivery of the project.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed schedule, setting key achievements, and ensuring that the project stays on track. This includes the use of project management software and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches as appropriate.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and devising mitigation strategies
  • Serve as the main point of contact for partners, team members, and executives.
  • Lead delivery of regular updates through status reports, meetings, and presentations, ensuring transparency and alignment of expectations.
  • Enforce quality standards and ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon criteria by establishing quality assurance teams, conducting reviews, and implementing continuous improvement processes.
  • Manage scope changes, address unforeseen challenges, and adapt plans as required.
  • Ensure changes are detailed, communicated, and implemented in a controlled manner.
  • Coordinate the final delivery of the project, ensuring objectives are met, and facilitate project handover or implementation.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions help capture insights for organizational growth.

What You will need to be successful:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Proficiency in developing project charters, work breakdown structures, resource allocations, schedules, and budgets using tools such as MS Azure DevOps or equivalent experience.
  • Systems Integration: Experience integrating technology platforms with field equipment and enterprise systems (esp. SAP ERP).
  • Data and Analytics: Ability to lead projects involving data acquisition, real-time monitoring, analytics, and reporting to optimize operations and support decision-making.
  • Cybersecurity: Knowledge of cybersecurity procedures and implementation in large technology organizations
  • Digital Transformation: Familiarity with new technologies such as IoT, cloud computing, AI/ML, and how they apply to midstream oil and gas operations.
  • Team Leadership: Proven track record leading cross-functional teams including software engineers, business analysts, product managers and external vendors.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal collaborators (operations, compliance, executive leadership) and external parties (vendors, regulators, consultants).
  • Change Management: Experience with organizational change management, driving adoption of new technology, and training end-users.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Analytical approach to troubleshooting project obstacles, managing risks, and making data-driven decisions under pressure.
  • Report project progress, performance, and outcomes to leadership and partners.
  • Champion standard processes in technology and project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Knowledge and experience with the specific treatment required to delivering initiatives within supply chain business and logistics solutions is a plus.
  • Understanding of Service Now and SAP is a plus.
